Wendy's Wanderings
A person without imagination is like a planet that lives
cloaked in
silence, where nothing is heard but the crunching of your feet
against the
sands of what might have been.
-A Wendy-ism
Congratulate me! I have at long last vanquished the
demon
of procrastination, triumphing over the slovenliness of long-time
companion, Mr. Lazybones. I have finally created a web
page.
I'm still new at this, though, and so my web-related
self-esteem is precariously perched on a tightrope. I am not a
computer-literate person, and while my computer continues to be toted by
one and all as 'user-friendly,' it is, without a doubt, NOT
Wendy-friendly.
So, what do you need to know about me?
- Here at Swarthmore College,
I'm an Honors Psychology
major with a minor in English.
- I'm short. I'm not mildly short, or even moderately short. Sadly and
unpleasantly, I am short. I am 4'11" and 3/4. But please, stress
the three quarters. They're hugely important to me, and they matter a
great deal.
- **UPDATE!! I AM NOW EXACTLY FIVE FEET TALL!**
- I love my quad
and a quarter here at Swarthmore,
as well as my close friends at home.
- I hate science. Which, of course, doesn't say much, although I do let
out a scream whenever my good friend and ex-roommate Diana
takes out her
periodic-tabled mug.
- The odd part
about my
hatred for
science is, that I simply love Star
Trek.
Did I say love? I meant adore.
Adore? I'm infatuated with the show. Which is ok for Diana, who
gets back at my fanaticism by bringing on the Star Wars
anecdotes.
- I'm also an ardent X-Phile. UPDATE! I finished my
X-Files fanaticism quote page.
- I enjoy drawing and oil painting. Take a look at some of my recent work.
- I'm a tennis fanatic - who says short
people can't smash overheads?
- I read and write whatever I can get my
hands on. I'm a true readaholic.....Take a look at my
science-fiction final project: a really weird short
story.
- My home is in the Big Apple. So is
Merlin - the cutest puppy in the universe.
UPDATE!!: It is now August of 1999 - 2 years after this web page was
born. Life, with its little quirks, did not allow me time to modify the
page as much as I wanted. And now, my page in all its glory will be
"frozen" as a shrine. Left as it is forever. Yes. That's right. I've
graduated. With High Honors, no less: what the hell were they thinking? As
of today, I am off to law school: the University of Pennsylvania. It's a
scary thought, but I think I'm ready. I HOPE I'm ready. But time, as
always, will tell......
