My Artistic Streak

When my little brother was three, he was afraid to finger paint, and came home that day from nursery school with this dinky little, slightly-paint splattered page. ME? When I was three, I came home with a piece of paper so drenched in paint, that it looked almost brown from all the slop I'd piled on. And you don't even want to THINK about what my clothes looked like.

So needless to say, art has always been a big part of my life. I use it as a way to wind down; as a way to tune out from the world for a while, and to just plain have fun.

Kohlberg Hall: the newest building on campus. I painted this for my art class, and it wound up in the school calender.

There are only four colors in it (white, black, yellow, and red). Black and yellow simulated green, and grey against a red background resembles blue. And my parents don't think I learn anything here at Swat - calling this place 'Camp Swarthmore' on account of the fact that I sometimes seem to be majoring in tennis.

This, on the other hand, is a rather rough charcoal drawing of Tarble, where you can often find me grabbing a quick bite to eat before my abnormal psychology class begins. I wasn't happy with this drawing, but somehow it wound up on the cover of the school calender, though I'm not quite sure why. But far be it from me to complain.
