"People always say how you should be yourself... like your self is this definite thing, like a toaster or something. But every so often, I'll have, like, a moment. When just being myself, in my life, right where I am, is like, enough."
      --the wisdom of Angela Chase

"I would like to clarify that there are only 19 episodes of 'my so-called life,' so having them all on tape isn't _that_ obsessive."
      --me, to my roommates.

someday, this page will be the story of my life... or stories, rather, because there's not just one to tell. there are so many. stories of the people and places i've lived and loved...

for now, i'm working on telling stories of family and friends. i've also written a bit about my two homes growing up, DeKalb, Illinois, and Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

the basic facts about me... hm. i was born (as are we all). for me, it happened on october 3, 1978, in the philadelphia suburbs. i lived in melrose park, pa, for the first 3 years or so of life. then we moved to dekalb, where my dad teaches at northern illinois university. we've lived there ever since. i have a mom, a dad, a brother, david, a sister, anna, and a dog and a cat. (theo and daniel, respectively.) i'm currently a sophomore at swarthmore college, where i have wonderful friends and study creative writing, history, and greek.

that's all for now, i guess.
