10/26/05 HEADLINES Parrish Ballpark goes under minor renovation: The Stadium Manager, Paul Goldsmith-Pinkham, came down hard on the broken window incident which occured during Monday's game between Coors Monster and Infrored. Although he did not impose a fine on Moody, whose fastball dug a hole through the glass, he stated that "no pitching will be permitted until the stadium is made safer." The League was quick to respond, and placed pieces of carpets lying around Parrish to cover the windows. They perfectly absorb the impact, prompting Goldsmith-Pinkham to left the suspension of play. Goldstein out indefinitely with injured wrist: We have already seen many injuries this season, but the High Flyers have been hit by them particularly hard. Just as Brennan recovered from sore back and knee, Goldstein complained of soreness in his left wrist, though he does not know why. Team officials believe that the injury is not that serious, although they do not know how long it will take Goldstein to recover. He remains optimistic though, saying "it is better for this to happen early in the season than later, because we can still reschedule games." Since the season started on a short notice, experts cite the lack of conditioning and spring training as the causes of many injuries. |
