Have you ever heard the theory that there are only seven degrees of separation between you and every other person on Earth? The connections are not necessarily genetic -- they are by knowing each other (having met Ronnie who is friends with Veronica who once was at a party with Chip who works with Kwabana who.... etc.). It's a cosmic world, baby.Have you ever played the Kevin Bacon Game? Someone names a movie star, and then you have to trace that person back to Kevin. You do this by naming a film that the named star has been in, and then you think of another person involved in that same movie (either another actor or the director); next you name a different movie with that second person you've named, repeating the cycle until you can name a movie starring Kevin Bacon! And the key point is that you must be able to go through this process within seven steps or less. Hollywood funk.
So now you're wondering how this is all relevant to my web page? Well, it just so happens that my life has been filled with adventures exciting enough to make me rub elbows with all sorts of celebrities. (Yes, I totally know that fame is an illusion. I'm not obsessed, nor do I gain ego from these ideas. They're just fun.) I have zero degrees of separation with a number of big-wigs! Who? This page will give you the scoop as I write the stories for each connection.
Zero Degrees of Separation:
- Susie Bright
- Matthew Broderick
- Larry from Three's Company

Based on the people in my life, only one degree of separation exists between me and the following folks: Michael Eisner, Taj Mahal, B.B. King, Greg Brown, Donald Sutherland, Jesse Collin Young, Jane Fonda, Jack Benny, Ramblin' Jack Elliot, President Bill Clinton, Madeline Albright, Yassur Arrafat, the artist formerly known as Prince, Nancy Sinatra, Frank Sinatra, Ronald Reagan, George Bush, everyone in the State Department, and all United Nations ambassadors.
Let me know your list of connections.
