"In high school Shira, Andy and I were close friends. Shira and I had a fight and were not talking. One night Andy called me and we chatted and all of a sudden he had another call. Turned out he had 3-way and he had made Shira call at a certain time so we would have to talk. Andy was always the peaceful one. He was the mediator in everything and wanted everyone to get along. We called him 'Switzerland' because of how neutral he always was." -Katie Sundquist

"I remember following Andy to Great America and flooring it to keep up. At a toll booth Joel yelled out the window "KEEP IT UNDER 90 DUMBASS!" Andy waved obliviously and always denied it was over 70." -Katie Sundquist

"On the way home from Great America we all got stuck on the interstate at 12:30 in the morning because Andy's car all of a sudden overheated and would not work (see above story as to why car overheated). We spent a few hours at a gas station dining on Twinkies and potato chips. Andy and I were the responsible ones when the tow truck arrived and we road back to Madison with the car. The AAA service gave 100 miles of towing for free and we arrived at the shop in 98 miles. Andy and I didn't know whether or not to tip him so Andy all sophisticated-like handed the driver a five-dollar bill." -Leslie Talluto

"I met Andy when we were 6 and I've always looked up to him. We were never extremely close, yet he has always been a friend and special person to me." -Kara Luedtke

"Dorsey, as I use to know him, was always quick to laugh and hesitant to judge. During a road trip that Dorsey, Stone, Jill, and myself took to the West after graduating in the summer of 2000, Andy showed that he was not only a well rounded student, but also a well rounded person. From our illegal curb-jumping to get out of the Kansas City Union Station parking lot, to offering to ride to the ranger's station in Zion National Park to fetch the car, to his patient understanding of my fiery political opinions, Andy showed that he was as conscientious about living life as he was about being dedicated to his studies. I hope we can all live to be as wise and mature as Andy was at such a young age."
With his memory still alive in mine,

"Andy taught me how to drive stick shift. I would sit in the passenger seat. He would drive and use the clutch but I got to shift. I now own my own car with a stick." -Katie Sundquist

"As of 1998, Andy had never been bitten by a mosquito." -Katie Sundquist

"Staying up til 5am playing cards...Andy usually won. Andy was great at making a monkey noise, we made pillow sandwiches, he made great birthday cakes full of M&Ms, awesome head of hair, great smile and silly laugh, always sincere, roasting marshmallows over the BBQ pit. He was always the responsible one who made sure the flame didn't get out of hand. He kept squirting the pit with lighter fluid to keep the blaze going...the beginning of his chemist career. Andy had great moves when he did his Techno dancing to Z104 as we walked back to the car after Rhythm and Booms."

"Andy helped me pronounce all my German songs for choir competitions." -Katie Sundquist

"Leslie and I had an awesome time dressing Andy up at Abercrombie and Eddie Bauer. Andy always looked so great in his jeans and grey sweater and Wisconsin sweatshirt. Leslie and I always thought he had so much potential to be a 'prep.' We took him to the mall one night, somehow he agreed to let us dress him up. We had him in REALLY tight black jeans, a purple turtleneck, a REALLY poofy silver down jacket and a pilot hat with ear flaps and fur. Leave it to Andy to look like a stud muffin, even in this. Andy would not buy the sweater with the prep stripe across the chest we were rooting for so for Christmas we got him Abercrombie socks with the stripe across the shin...we never knew if he wore them." :) -Katie Sundquist and Leslie Talluto

"Andy made AMAZING lemon meringue pie and a really great oriental salad."

"Andy refused to go to Prom. Andy had great hand writing. We always teased Andy about not knowing how to use a phone."

"The WPT telethon..."

"Andy wouldn't drink and wouldn't smoke (at least in high school). We tried to get him to smoke a cigarette one night cause it would be funny to watch the ever-cautious Andy smoke. He wouldn't touch it and said 'you never know, even one puff can get ya.' He was the feeder of jello shots not the eater." -Katie Sundquist and Leslie Talluto

"Andy always talked about his cat Twinkle."

"We miss you Andy, take care of Twinkle." ;)
