This (really weird, I know!) short story was written as a final project for my Science Fiction English class here at Swarthmore College. I think there are exactly thirty-six pages buried within this web site of story; which is good, considering it's my favorite number. I can't be sure, but I'm content to believe it's "36" - I don't want to count again because I might actually wind up with "35" or "37". :-)
With all the recent attention being given to the ethics of cloning, I wanted to explore a world where cloning had been legalized. I tried to find both the beneficial and the harmful uses, and also explore the debate as to whether cloning makes us more human or less so. And of course, one of sci-fi's favorite topics: the various ways that government could use cloning as a means of control. I had more and more fun as I went on; so in my opinion, the best links are the ones in the second half. But no skipping!
Anyway, hope you enjoyed the show. If you have any comments or suggestions, please e-mail me!
