This is my mother, Kathleen Anne Hutchins Hoffmann. She is one of the most important people in the world to me. If you met her, you would have to agree that she is awfully cool. So here is a little bit about her. She was born in Lincoln, NE, the fourth of five children (and the only girl). She had a far more exciting childhood than most, since there were so many boys in the house. If you get a chance, ask her about the brick fight. Mom went to Nebraska Wesleyan University and graduated with a triple major in math, English, and education. Later, she got a masters degree in math. Right now she is the chairman of the math department at Springfield High School, where she teaches advanced algebra and pre-calculus.
