Silence (Shadow Child II)

There she sits in the silence
In the cold of dawn
Stares and listens to silence
Without a voice of her own

She was born in the silence
Wrapped, enfolded in shadowed arms
All she knows is silence
Not that she would care

Now she dies in the silence
Dying, she screams at silence
Crying, she curses the silence
Fading, the shadow weeps

Still they worship the silence
Lighting the fires to its secret name
Truth cannot stop silence
Silence that killed our souls

(Kill us and let it grow)
