The collator scene.

The idea behind this scene was that Wilson was sitting on stage, talking to the audience, as the audience was coming in at the beginning of the night.
He was playing a person who works in the basement of Parrish, collating papers for students.
The idea of the scene was to show that which is 'underneath' swarthmore, to relate out student existence to that of the people who work here at the college daily, doing really boring routine work. After the audience had been seated, Wilson spoke up louder, thanking the Cabaret for letting him speak there, and telling the audience about his job. After a while, Ted, who played the MC, came on stage, stood in front of Wilson, brought out the waitresses with the drinks, and proceeded to ignore and drown Wilson out. He then shouted 'WELCOME TO THE CABARET' and the show was on its way.
