| In a match-up for first and second place team in the West coming into the day, the game was tight for 2 innings. Colton & Duncan got on the board first with Bangs' single off Goldstein on top 1, but High Flyers quickly evened the score on the bottom half with Goldstein's bases-loaded ground out off Gromko. After Brennan and Bangs kept the game tied with solid outings, Colton & Duncan's bat exploded on top 3. Against Brennan, who had been brilliant this season, they tallied 7 hits in a row (one walk in between). Gromko capped the inning with two homers in consecutive at-bats. Bangs struck out the side on bottom 3 to improve his team to 3-0. High Flyers drop to 1-1. |
