>> Creative Writing Workshop with James Ross!

pQ is regrouping a bit, trying to figure out what’s up for the summer, and how to keep making the good stuff happen… In the meantime, please submit your writing and artwork to our new arts & literary magazine, by and for LGBTQ youth and our allies in the Capital Region...

PEN[SIEVE]

releasing our silence, retaining our voices!

This is a place for us to share our writing and visual art which is so vital to our expression and survival!  We're hoping to get it out by the end of the summer, so please consider submitting something soon!

General Guidelines:
>> We are not accepting any hate speech/images -- nothing homo-, hetero-, or trans-phobic, and nothing racist, sexist, etc. (check your -ism's at the door).  Also, please change names to protect people's anonymity!

>> Pieces can be printed as "anonymous," however WE (pQ and the editors) must know who you are so we can contact you.  If you don't want your name to appear, just let me know!

>> Written work should be typed.

>> Visual Art should be suitable for B&W reproduction.

>> Everyone who submits is guaranteed at least one piece in the magazine, with a maximum of three (to leave room for everyone else!).  Everyone who submits will also receive a free copy!

>> ANY TOPIC IS WELCOME: this doesn't just have to be about being queer!  It can be about your dog, your family, your favorite tree, baseball practice, really abstract thoughts, politics, whatever…
