The results:

Cores 1, 2, 4, and 5 were tested upright and each held between 55 and 60 thousand pounds. Cores 3 and 6 (6 not pictured) were tested horizontally and held 20 to 30 thousand pounds. Based on these results, the concrete can hold about 10000 psi in compression and slightly under 1000 psi in tension.
