Wow. It's getting to the point where I feel out-of-practice at writing these things. Damn. I wasn't going to let that happen.

Inevitably, however, things slide. Seems in their nature to do so, really. However, one can survive, I guess.

Life is pretty passable at the moment. I'm marginally healthy some of the time, which is a great improvement. I could sing a little bit at choir, which was happy.

The Pterodactyl Hunt happened, and was great fun. I was the Black Knight again, protecting access to the Oracle. Boffer weaponry and fighting; I even got to fight some neat people who played fair and were cool. Erica Cartmill and the WarCraft II guy, I salute you. My new boffer weapons worked nicely, too--a longsword for the hunters, and a selection for me: katana, quarterstave, and a rapier and dagger set. They were neat and fun. Yay. Got to play bagpipes to close the hunt, which was neat; the lack of tuning due to cold weather was rather less so, but one makes do.

I've been reading a bit more, which has probably helped my mental health a bit. Finished Heinlein's Starship Troopers, which I enjoyed. I don't remember if I wrote about it or not, but I finished Finn Mac Cool a while ago--liked it well enough, if not quite so much as some of Morgan Llywelyn's other work. I've now started in on Anne McCaffrey's Dragonflight. I'm sort of torn--I like her storytelling, but her writing style drives me up the wall.

Anyway, I've been distracted, and it's late, so I'm quitting. Ciao.

The time is now.

I haven't the time to write much, but suffice it to say that life is much improved. Worry not.

I'm listening to Mahler IX, talking to friends, and am (I hope) on the mend. The addition to my diet of prescription decongestants and antibiotics from Worth will prove helpful. Yay.

Relationship issues have relented, and I'm remembering why I'm dating Kyla--that being that, when it's working, I totally feel like I could do anything. I'd like to think that I'm a nicer person when I'm happy, and I've been pretty happy lately.

With regard to updates--it's become clear that Swarthmore has it in for the Daily Show. Nonetheless, I will try to update it slightly more regularly.

For now, though...

Worry not, as I am happy and surrounded by friends. And a lot of work. But the addition of the friends really helps. Cheers.
