Poland, Spring 2001

I love Poland. I want to go back there right now.

The Sukiennice (Cloth Hall) in the middle of Kraków

Adam Mickiewicz ("Adasz" to his friends), Poland's favorite national poet. Even though he was born in Lithuania. With a bunch of Polish kids on a field trip.

Kościół Mariacki (St. Mary's Church), from whose tower the Hejnał has been trumpeted each hour since the 14th century

The intersection in front of the Teatr Bagatela, including the Elefant department store. Note the "wideo wall" huge TV screen. It was installed while I was there, and personally I think it's a detriment rather than an improvement. Opinion seems to be divided.

A street near the Teatr Bagatela. Notice the cute little Polish cars.

Our kitchen/pantry in Dom Piast (our dorm), with Rory discoursing on some scholarly topic
