The Chinese character that takes you to this page means "intoxicated", as you might have already guessed from the picture of wine. People drink for various reasons. Some do it for the pure enjoyment of the taste of alcohol, but more do it because it is an escape. From what? Can be anything, pressure, disappointment, failure, stress ... or simply life in general. That light-headedness can actually be a feeling of relief.

But why? Why would there be the need to escape in the first place? What is life all about?

I do not have an answer. I doubt anybody does. All we have is just little pieces of thought to comfort our souls from time to time.
