the very hungrey caterpillar by eric carle a classic story! i'm sure most of you have read this, or have had it read to you at some point. the story of a caterpillar who wakes up one day hungrey. each day of the week he eats through some food. the book's gimic is the different sizes of the pages and the holes through the fruits. children learn a valuable lesson about eating too much junk food, as the caterpillar gets an awful stomach ache when he eats too much. the basic metamorphesis of a caterpillar to a butterfly is also beautifully shown.
