Where am I From?!

My Life Story If You're Interested...

Where am I from? ...Well this is actually a question I've been trying to solve for a long time now. I've inconclusively concluded that I am from nowhere...or something like that. Here: judge for yourself:

Ok, so my dad was born in suburban San Fransisco to an Irish/Italian/something else? family. My mom was born in a small village about a hour's drive from Venice, Italy. They met while my dad was an exchange student at the University of Padova. Like I said before I'm a mixed Italian and American citizen.Ok...so I was born in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda in central Africa. Here I learned my first two languages: French and Italian (I forgot both later on) and then later English. After that my family moved briefly to Upper Volta, now called Burkina Faso (next to Ghana in West Africa). Almost every year, I've gone to visit my relatives in Italy and having spent months there I sort of consider myself to have lived there too...plus my parents sent me to stay with my relatives when I was 11 so that I would learn to speak Italian...since no one there spoke english I pretty much had to learn Italian. . Next we moved to China (Taiwan) where I learned to speak Taiwanese (I forgot this later on too but now I'm taking Mandarin) and went to a Taiwanese pre-school. Then we moved to San Fransisco where I did 1st, and half of second grade at Sherman Elementary School in the city. Then for the rest of 2nd grade I was in Arlington Virginia while my parents studied for their next assignment in Portugal. There we lived in Carcavelos, in suburban Lisbon for three years. I went to a British prep-school where we wore a nasty light grey uniform and had prefects and other interesting British inventions like that. After this we moved to Bangkok, Thailand where I finished middle school and started 9th grade at the International School of Bangkok. Finally, we moved to the DC Metro area where I finished high school. Now I live in Swarthmore Pennyslvania or Addis Ababa, Ethiopia depending on what time of the year it is. So...where am I from? Judge for yourself. I'm not even sure where I live!
