For You

If you are cold:
Let me wrap you in a cloak of cashmere clouds
gathered from a seaside sunset
gently spun by the evening summer winds
to warm your soul.

If you are tired:
Let me find for you the sweetest patch of gentle grass
To lie upon beside a crystal brook
singing to you sleep sonnets while the cool blue sky
covers your thoughts with comfort.

If you seek:
Let me ride the wind in search of what you'll find
when even there in the dark of mystery
the sun will shine for you alone
to see the enchanted waves bring what you seek.

But if you hurt, if you are sad or lonely...
If you need love:
Let me be there with you to share the pain
to hold your hand and stay by your side
with loving words of comfort. Little as I am
let me give you everything.
