on behalf of Larry Calvert at GBS. Clean up the Print Artwork Module. GBS
uses the Ballot on Demand
feature extensively. However, our customers are requesting some
minor modifications to the sorting of
the precincts. The Print Artwork
Module has a "By Precinct" and a
"Ballot on Demand" option. The "By Precinct"
option does not include the Base Precinct Label in the precinct selection
box. The "Ballot on Demand" option includes the Base Precinct Label,
but sorts the precincts in alphabetical
order. Precincts are not necessarily
created and reported in alphabetical order so the "Ballot on
Demand" option is confusing and frustrating for our
customers to use. For example, Precincts
are sorted in the following order: DeKalb 1,10,11,12...19, DeKalb 2,20,21,22. In the Print Artwork
module we need the Base Precinct Label listed and the precincts sorted in
Report Precinct order followed by the Base Precinct order. This sort can occur
in the "By Precinct" option or the "Ballot on Demand" option. The two
modules also use different labels to identify Card Numbers. For example,
"Ballot on Demand" lists Ballot
Rotations.
Perhaps we can add the Base Pct. field within the By Precincts
option, and add the ID field within the BOD option. That way if GBS does
a sort by ID, it will give them the correct sort and also have the Base Pct.
field in both windows.
