Economic Human Rights Campaign Underway!

because poverty is increasing
(50 million americans, 19 percent of us,
      live below the poverty line)

because income inequality is increasing
(last year the poorest fifth of families
made $210 less and the richest fifth
      made $6,440 more.)

because real wages are going down
     average weekly wages went from
     $315 in 1973 to $256 in 1996

because President Clinton says we have
"the strongest American
economy in a generation"

because people in the richest country
in the world are going hungry...

ets is building a movement to end poverty.
