Hi!

We're glad to hear that you're interested in learning more about Co/Motion for your 10-13 year old girl. Co/Motion is a program for the 10-13 year old daughters, nieces, grandaughters, etc. of faculty and staff designed and implemented by female Swarthmore students. The program meets once a month throughout the school year and for one week during the summer.

The goals of Co/Motion are to bring together girls of the same age from different backgrounds in a safe, supportive and fun environment in order to foster self awareness, self confidence, and cross cultural communication. We do this through cooporative work in arts, science, sports, and intensive discussions centered around issues such as body image, conflict resolution, and girls' health issues.

The camp is staffed by approximately 6 female Swarthmore College students along with about 2 counselors in training who are local high school students we hope will serve as a bridge between ourselves and the campers.

For more information and a registration packet, please contact us at: comotion@sccs.swarthmore.edu or contact Sorelle Friedler through campus mail.

Hope to hear from you soon!
