Women in Advertising
We spoke with the girls about how women's bodies are used in advertising and how ads define wha tthe "ideal" female body should look like. Then we distributed ads from Cosmo and had the girls fill in "thought bubbles" for what the advertisers train of thought might be and what their version of the "ideal" female body was.

Photo Gallery
The girls all brought photos of the women in their lives whom they admire, including mothers, aunts, grandmothers, best friends, etc. and then we put the photos up to form an art gallery. We talked about how the women in the photos were different from the women in the ads and alternative definitions of beauty.
