Attention: Parents of 10-13 year-old girls?Summer Camp Opportunity
Dear Swarthmore College Staff and Faculty Parents,
It might seem early to start thinking about the summer but we are excited
to offer your daughters the opportunity to participate in Co/Motion: Girls
Growing in Community, a summer camp for adolescent girls, and we would
like you to consider having your daughter join us for a week in June. The
week will be packed with a mix of traditional summer camp activities well
as more innovative activities.
Co/Motion grew out of a similar program, SCLP (Summer Community Learning
Program), that was run four years ago at the college.
The camp, funded by the Swarthmore Foundation, will be run on campus from
June 17-23 (9-5) with one overnight, and space will be limited to sixteen
10 to 13 year old girls (8 faculty daughters, 8 staff daughters).
Two information and registration sessions will be held in Kohlberg 115:
Thursday, February 7th, from 12:30 to 1:00pm.
Thursday, February 7th, from 7:30 to 8:00pm
More information is coming in a similar letter through campus mail.
Please do not hesitate to contact us by email or campus mail with any
questions.
Sincerely,
Ester Bloom, Addie Candib, Sarah Cohodes, Elizabeth Engelhardt, Stephanie
Fox, Sorelle Freidler, Elizabeth Holman, Sarah Kelly, and Cadelba
