The Swarthmore College Aikido Club is open to all students, faculty, and staff of Swarthmore, Bryn Mawr, and Haverford Colleges. We provide an opportunity to learn and practice Aikikai Aikido in a safe and fun environment. Additionally, for Swarthmore students, regular attendance is worth 1 PE credit per semester.

The club meets every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 in the ex-wrestling room of the Lamb-Miller Field House on Swarthmore's campus. All visitors are welcome to come in and watch or even participate. No experience, attire, or equipment are required.

The Swarthmore Aikido Club is a daughter dojo of Aikido of Center City located in Philadelphia. Under this arrangement, any member of Swarthmore Aikido is a full fledged member of ACC and may practice there, or at any of its other daughter dojos, throughout the academic year, free of charge. A fair number of club members typically attend Saturday practices at ACC as a group. Donovan Waite, the head instructor of ACC, is a 6th dan and a senior student of Yamada Sensei, head of New York Aikikai.
