Welcome to the World of Molly!

As a mere novice in cyberspace I must first add the disclaimer that I have no idea what I'm doing. But if you really want the scoop on all this web stuff, check out Justin Hall's web tutorial for some kickin' ideas on making a homepage.

Who am I?
I am currently a senior (gulp) at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. Biology rocks my world, and I'll have some info on current projects soon. For your edification and fascination I have provided a list of my favorite Bio links.
- Ocean Planet. The Smithsonian Oceanography and Marine Biology tour. Beautiful pictures, very cool.
- Friday Harbor Labs. Friday Harbor is located on San Juan Island in Puget Sound, Washington state. I was fortunate enough to spend all of last summer at this paradise on earth doing research for my thesis, under the tutelage of Dr. Rachel Merz.
- MBL. The Marine Biological Laboratories at Wood's Hole. Need I say more? Cape Cod also brings back nostalgic memories from my youth.
- Virtual Embryo.

In the fine well-rounded tradition of Swarthmore, I am also a History minor and occaisionally get a kick out of poring my way through obscure old documents trying to impose my 20th century patterns of thinking onto people who have been dead for centuries.

Where am I Coming From?

I was born and raised in New England, specifically in Maine and New Hampshire. I firmly believe that there is no place more beautiful than the Appalachians in the fall, and have dedicated a reasonably large proportion of my free time in recent years to hiking and backpacking in the White Mountains. Jenn Koermer, Charles Danforth and I have dedicated our lives (well...at least a few weeks at a time) to climbing all the four thousand foot mountains in New England. We still have a ways to go, but look for more about this soon!

Here at Swarthmore, I am about to embark on my second year in a row living with my lovely and talented engineering roommate Jenn Koermer. Our lives are enriched and blessed by two furry companions, Launcelot and Galahad. If you don't think ferrets make good pets, you may click here to exit my webpage.

Tom! He's got some pretty amazing wildflower pictures. In my (unbiased) opinion, Tom is one of the coolest people I know. He is a junior physics and linguistics major here at Swarthmore.
Cameron Geddes Physics stud extraordinaire and generally a great person. Skipper of a certain infamous Florida spring break trip, whereby six of us escaped the cares of civilization to spend a week sailing around in the gulf of Florida with only the wind and the birds for company. We swam with dolphins, explored a deserted island, slept under the stars, and even still liked eachother when we got back!.
Evan Dorn My most frantic and well-rounded of friends. Evan shares my passion for biology, although I sometimes raise my eyebrows at his engineering ways of thinking.
Dave Reese I am barely beginning to be sucked in by the internet, but Dave has been there and is on to better things. But stop by and read his musings on the topic and see his old homepage.
Charles Danforth An astrophysicist who believes in fun, Charles has been my partner for countless hiking expeditions in the Appalachians (He's even got pictures on his page to prove it). He is now well ensconsced at Johns Hopkins as a beginning grad student and working hard.

Who am I?
