I'm currently a junior at Swarthmore College in beautiful Swarthmore, PA. I'm a biology major, and hope to become a veterinarian. When I'm not busy studying at Swarthmore, I live in Queens, New York with my parents. For some more family info and a couple of photos, check out my family.
As you can no doubt guess, I love animals. I have three cats, Tiger, Champagne, and Junior.
Some of my fondest memories of sophomore year are in regards to our nine-block. Last year, I lived in Roberts Dorm with the Women of the Squint-- Marianna, Faye, Tam, and MyPhuong. Marianna and I have been roommates our entire time at Swat. The other members of our nine-block were the Men of the Squad: Lou, Jean-Marc, James and Rob.
Marianna, Faye, and I started a new publication last year, called Matrix. It's an undergraduate science magazine, and it focuses on what is going on in the various science departments at Swat. Our first issue, which came out during the Spring 1996 semester, highlighted undergraduate research. Our second issue came out Spring 1997, spotlighted how to go about getting an internship. We also had articles about new classes and new profs, as well as current breakthroughs in the sciences in general. If you haven't already, check out Matrix. Due to budget constraints, we had a small printing run, but there are copies on reserve in Cornell Library if you're interested. Hopefully there will be a Matrix page coming soon.
As anyone who has seen my room no doubt knows, I am a very big X-Men fan. I've been collecting and reading comics for over eight years, and my collection is quickly approaching 3000 comics.
Last year, Marianna and Tam managed to get me hooked on X-Files, undoubtedly the best show on television. Check out some cool photos and some links to other sites.
Ever since I was little, I've been a Star Wars fan. Check out some of these links, and you might even catch a glimpse of the awesome Harrison Ford.
If you're interested, take a look at my Final Project for my Computer Science 10 class, which I am worked on during my sophomore year with Christopher DiLeo, please check it out. It deals with the many uses of HyperCard. Let us know what you think!
Special thanks to Justin Hall for helping me learn how to make this page.
If you can, you should check out SINNERS, the seminar he holds on Saturdays to teach Swatties how to use the Net.
Thanks, Justin!
