Guess what! I have an obsession with Alice and I love collecting cool Alice-related stuff. Unfortunately, I don't find too much, but I am always looking around for more stuff. A great place to look at Alice stuff is in New York City, and lately I have been planning my own Alice tour of NYC. It is still in the works, but so far here are a couple of good places to visit:
1) The Delacorte Memorial
This place is so awesome! It is in Central Park, right by the pond with all
the remote control sailboats. There is a HUGE Alice statue at one end, and it
is always covered with tons of kids. This is definitely the highlight of the
Alice tour.
2) 1/9 Subway at 50th Street
For some reason unknown to me, the walls of this subway stop are a tile mosaic
of Alice characters. I don't remember exactly what is there, probably Alice,
the White Rabbit, the Queen, and some others, but I've never gotten off at
this stop.
3) Alice Underground, 481 Broadway
A Vintage stop in the village.
That's all I've seen so far, but I will come up with a lot more. If you've got any ideas of places for me to visit, email me and I will add them to my tour. Probably the rest of the tour will be stuff like having an unbirthday party, going to a bakery and eating tarts, going to a garden, and I don't know what else.
Here are some other Alice-related links. Have fun!
