The Village Education Project

This website features work related to my various teaching endeavors.

The most materials on this website are related to my student teaching, which took place January-April 2010 in Folsom, PA. There you will find lesson plans, assignments, student work, and reflections.

During November and December of 2009, I taught a twice a week ESL class for adult refugees as a volunteer for USCRI-Raleigh. That section of the website contains an outline of the course that I taught.

From the spring of 2007 through the spring of 2009, I volunteered with the Village Education Project, based at Swarthmore College. From the fall of 2007 through the spring of 2009, my primary responsibility for the organization was curriculum development. On this portion of my website, you will find a description of my curriculum design process as well as a reflection of my time teaching students in Mojanda, Ecuador.

The backround image of this page is from the road to the school where I was teaching, in Mojanda, Ecuador. The snow-capped mountain in the background is the volcano Cayambe, the only peak on the equator that is continuously covered in snow.
