Soft X-Ray Spectrum of a Hot Plasma
Raymond, John C and Smith, Braham W

Abstract

We have calculated the spectrum of radiation emitted bya hot, optically thin plasma with abundances and equilibrium ionization balance appropritae to interstellar conditions. Here we discuss the results at wavelengths shorter than 200 Å for material in the range of electron temperature 1.6 x 105 &le T &le 1.0 x 108.

Summary

While I didn't get a whole lot out of this article as it pertains to my research, it does include a great deal of information in the form of tables and equations. It contains the equations for the rate coefficients for collisional ionization by electrons. It also has an equation for the radiative recombination rate, the two-photon spectrum, and permitted line radiation. It contains a comprehensive guide to transition numbers as well as a detailed table of line emissions.
