What We Learned
- Schematic diagrams take a long time to create.
- Board layout takes longer.
- High technology isn't that hard.
- Assembly programming is fun.
- We've gained a deeper understanding of microcontrollers.
- How keyboards/terminals/teletypes work.
- Digital signals show interesting analog characteristics.
- Pipelining's not just for the big chips: Scenix offers a PIC-clone that can do 100MHz, 1 instruction per clock cycle because it's pipelined. Ours does 20MHz, 4 clocks per instruction.
