Welcome to the academic locus of this place. I am currently a graduate student in the Janelia Farm/University of Chicago Joint Phd Program. I am primarily interested in the neurobiology of sensory systems- how the external world is transformed and represented within the nervous system. I study this problem using quantitative behavior, genetic manipulation, and neurophysiology in the fruit fly, Drosophila. For more information, check out Michael Reiser's lab at Janelia.
I also wrote a sociology thesis about junkyards and rednecks in my hometown. You can navigate through all this bologna by playing with the navigation bars to the left.
