Transition Metal is Swarthmore College's permier extreme music radio show. It is Swarthmore's only extreme music radio show, for all pretenders to the throne have been mercilessly crushed.

Yet the cyclonic winds of change beat against the fortresses of our contentment. It is time for a new order to arise from the self-consuming carnage of Transition Metal. He Who Commands the Metal is nearing the final year of his occupation of Swarthmore's fragile campus. The harrowing hours before the onset of this cataclysmic threshold have sparked the flame of darkest insight within the scarred recesses of the Commander's mind. He saw images of blood-soaked banners flying over a burning borough, fear-deafened children bending in ignominious submission, and a grim triumvirate watching silently from WSRN's hypocenter of noise-absolute. So evolves Transition Metal into a new and exquisite entity, the Giallar horn of an oncoming radio Ragnarok!
