I spent the summer of 2003 studying abroad at Oxford University in Oxford, England. Somehow I found time to fly to Spain
with my buddy Ray to attend the Festival of San Fermin and the running of the bulls. After my classes ended, I backpacked
around France, England and Scotland for a couple of weeks on my own. I had trouble with my camera throughout the trip,
but such as it goes.

The view from 11T Walton Well Rd., location of my room in Oxford.

The view from the giant, manicured hill in New College garden, looking into one of the three New College quads. Every
visiting student at Oxford is affiliated with a college just as the regular students are. Most of us in my program
became a part of New College -- which really just meant their library, computer facilities, and dining halls were open to us.

Another of the three New College quads, although you really can't tell it's a quad from this angle. The computer lab is in
this building.

One of the oldest structures in the city of Oxford, the old medieval wall. The wall runs straight through New College which
makes the college its caretaker. The tall building visible behind the wall is one of the gates to the college.

The entrance to New College dining hall. We wore robes, as required -- but they were definitely not as cool as Hogwarts' robes.

New College cloisters, just behind the chapel.

The meadow behind Merton College, with Merton visible. Merton was where Tolkien taught.
