Conclusions
This project was based on three topics. The rear suspension of mountain bikes as an artifact of sociological change, mountain biking as a Technopoly, and the effect of the internet on the mountain bike. The presentation of the project on a web page surprisingly turned out to be very close to my initial ideas. The medium of html code is easy to work with and the idea of posting thoughts for the entire world to see makes the writing more personal in fact. There is a motivation to project a personal image of the self in the web site along with the intended content posting. This medium also worked well with this project because it enabled the inclusion of links in the middle of text to outside sites that would better illustrates concepts of mountain biking to the readers not familiar with the terms. In all, I feel this project has been a worthwhile thought process and analysis of mountain biking as a technology.
