A brief section on what you learned and whether you achieved the goals outlined for this lab.
By doing this lab, we learned many important things about what features processors have, and how to distinguish between different processors based on their performance relating to these features. We learned, for example, the ways that superscalar architecture can affect a processor's ability to do calculations and how this can affect a processor's performance. In addition, we learned about the effects that different types of cache structure can have on the performance of a processor. Through this lab, we have gained a greater sense of how processors work and how certain operations performed on a computer - memory allocations, floating point calculations, etc. can depend greatly on these features we investigated.
We definitely achieved the goals of the lab, as we successfully investigated all the various features on three different processors. Not only did we simply run these tests, but through the tests we gained a greater understanding of how computers work and learned ways that we can take advantage when using computers in the future.
