During spring 2000 I am taking
a break from the standard physics
major track at  Swarthmore College.
Rather  than  race  through  this  great
institution without stopping to consider
the  big  picture  along  the  way,  I  am
taking  a  semester  off   from  classes. I
have  designed  an  independent  study
project  for myself  to examine  where I
ought to be going with life. Specifically,
I am interested in  better understanding
the  conflicts  that  arise  between  the
modern scientific  paradigm  and  our
traditional   moral   and   religious
outlook   on   the  world.    I have
created  this  web  site  to  incite
discussion, with the hopes that
others and myself can learn
from  each  other.  Please
