Things you probably didn't know about Star Wars:

1) Underneath the sound of Jabba the Hut's voice to give it that extra something icky, is the sound of fingers mixing up cheese casserole.
2) R2D2's beeps were based on the patterns of baby babble, and that's why sometimes it is as if you can almost understand. The base pattern is in fact human speech.
3) Darth Vader's breathing sounds were done by a tech guy breathing through a scuba mask.
4) The sound of light saber is the combination of the hum of an old movie projector and the buzz/crackle that comes from when a turned-on microphone swings behind turned-on electrical equipment. Needless to say, this combo was happened upon by accident.
5) The sound of the badass dark side fighters (ie that chase the Millenium falcon) is the trumpet of an angry elephant overlayed with the sound of a car driving on a wet highway.

Bow down before me and my bitching Star Wars trivia.

So, you might be wondering how I learned these things. Well, once when I visited Sarah and Jonny in London, there was an exhibit going on called the Art of Star Wars. Below are my pictures from it, of the real models they used and the costumes and stuff. VERY cool. My flash is annoyingly reflective on some of them (esp Darth Vader), but it couldn't be helped. It was that or nothing. So, with no further ado...

So, this is the model used for the stadium during the podrace in the Phantom Menace. It's too bad you can't see it, but some of the little figures are from the earlier Star Wars.

Do these even need captions?

I adore Harrison Ford. That should be clear. Oh, yeah, and there is this little set of movies that he did called Star Wars or something, and they're worth checking out, too. :)

Seriously, what's not to love about Han and Leia?
I mean, they're both so pretty...

They both look good with weapons...

(Wouldn't her hair have looked so much better this way?)
They both stand with confidence...

What's not to love?

Chewie, everyone's favorite fuzzball(with a crossbow no less!), also cannot be forgotten.

My favorite things about the Phantom Menace- young Obi-Wan and Queen Amidala. Nice.
