OK, I admit it. I'm a trekkie.
Or I was, at least. I was all about Star
Trek for years. Most of my adolescene and teenagerhood, I
watched at least one Star Trek episode per day. A local station always had
TNG on weekdays at 10, and for a while it was on twice a day! Then later,
DS9 was on weeknights at 10. And then of course, ST:V. If you don't
know what those abbrieviations stand for, please receive a ST education elsewhere. I'm afraid
I'm rather quite snobby when it comes to amateurs. (The same applies to the
X-Files).
I must admit that I have seen only maybe a quarter of the original series. The
local TV stations just never showed it. But I have seen all TNG episodes (more than once, for the vast
majority, too), DS9, and Voyager. Enterprise? What? Did someone say something?
I deny all knowledge of what you are talking about.
Also, I personally collected many of the 285 Ferengi Rules of Acquisition.
Any time I heard one during DS9 I would write it down. If you know of any that
I am missing, tell me please. You can read them here.
Here is a really interesting
article about the homoerotic subtext between Picard and Q.
