Poem --

Stroke

At last, as I sit here staring
at the water
I feel at peace.
I have time to contemplate
to reflect upon my thoughts
I don't know if you can understand
how I feel at this moment.
It is as if the ocean storms in the darkness. Suddenly stopped, replace
by a glass of tranquility.
What was once a clouded sky driven
away by the two suns,
one upon my favourite azure,
its twin almost unwavering
below the horizon,
a relection of infinite presence.
I have high hopes
high regard for life,
don't ask, even I don't understand.

Each stroke through
the soft, still waters like
the strawberry sweet liquid flowing
through my veins,
feeding my heard and giving me direction.
And I head towards
the twin suns, stroke carrying me forward
in anticipation.

I am blinded but it carries me forward
Stroke the water

like a loved one. When night finally
falls it is alright.

Because at that time my two suns will meet.
