Poem --

Fragments of a StarDance

Constellations
    dance and twirl
Fire Water Earth and Air

The Moon Child
    and the Sun's Beast

She nurtured a nest of dreams
Ovums of her being
now red pearls of hope

She cracked open her chest
and cut out her heart
Beads of her existence
Lay bare in the Sun

She cut out her heart
Its blood and all its contents
Jewels of her soul
Under a hand painted sunset

The Sun and his Beast
His rays
Scorched the red gems
Staining the ground

Withered like dried prunes
Its skin embodies all flavours
Sweet bitterness its core
A seed that still bears life
Hidden.

The Moon, torn
Turned her back determined
to have a new phase
without reflection

But the lion walks on
With the seed in his mouth

The stars dance
The celestial walze carries on
an ongoing cycle
Waves of thought
    Tide in, tide out
Will the stain be
washed away?

The night sky turns
and the stars tumble
Cancer and Leo
A duo of
Water and Fire
Two Houses in hand
or across the Band? Their shadows twirl
and part
And now all is quiet

And all is left
a seed,
a stain
and Stardance
