Lighten up!

Poem --

I come not

I come not to give you sleepless nights,
To invade your world, or take away
Your dreams.
I come not to monopolize your time,
To hoard your love, or break up
Your friendships.
I come not to make you into a stranger,
To corrupt your ideals, or change
Your uniqueness.
I come not to dirty your knives,
To drink out of your mug, or eat out
Your banana muffins.
I come to plant a seed in your heart,
In the hope that it will grow
To keep you in my heart,
To love you like no other.

The Dreamer
