My name is Prachi!

India is-My home
I am there quite often (in my mind) even when I am away.
Although I am officially not an Indian citizen, I consider myself Indian at heart.
I was in India untill I was about 16 years old. I came to Minneapolis for my Junior year of High-school and I have been here ever since. I consider myself born as an Indian American.

Why?, you may ask?

Well, you see! I am a mixed breed. I am the product of two great people. My Mom, is a smart old gal from that American mid-western city called, Minneapolis. My Dad! He is a handsome intellegent village born Indian, born in that small village of Kasegaon.
Now, I am at a small liberal arts college called Swarthmore college.

What do I do here?

I am a Junior, majoring in Sociology and Anthropology and Film and media studies. I consider my primary goal in life to be a lasting commitment for the struggle of women's rights in India. I hope to use Film as a medium by which these underrepresented women can speak.

Is that a dream? Nope!

It is my goal.

My dream is to become the greatest documentary filmmaker in the world.
