Report a bug

This is the Swarthmore College Computing Society's online equipment/space reservation system.

Gone are the days of emailing the staff and anxiously awaiting an answer from the holder of a key. This system is designed to be easy to use, so please tell us if you find things difficult (you can use the "Report a bug" link in the upper right hand corner of any page).

Browsing the calendar
The chief advantage of this system over the old is that you can see when things are already reserved. There are three views on the calendar: by month, by week, and by day. Today is November 7th, 2009. It is week #45 in November. Each of the views have left and right arrows at the top of the page that will advance one "unit" (i.e. day, week, year) in either direction. If you click on a day in a month or week view, you will be taken to the day view. In turn, the day and week views have links to "zoom out."
Placing a reservation
  1. Navigate through the calendar to some point in the future at which you want the item.
  2. Check to make sure someone else has not preempted you.
  3. In the menu at the right of the page, click on the item. An alert box will ask you to select a time.
  4. Select a time. This will appear at first as both the starting and ending times of your reservation (so you will have to change at least one of them). At this point the closest you can get to selecting a time is the hour.
  5. A form appears where you can select starting and ending dates/times down to 15-minute intervals. The most important part of this form is your Swatmail username, because we will need to send you emails about your reservation. We apologize for the CAPTCHA — spam sucks.
  6. Once you have completed the form, click Request and wait for the red text to appear. If you've made a mistake, it will be noted and you can resubmit a corrected form.
  7. Check your email for a confirmation. Hopefully soon, someone will approve your reservation, and you're all set!
