Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I get condoms?

Your local SHC should be regularly stocking your dorm with free condoms. If you have trouble finding them, ask your RA or email any of the SHCs. The Worth Health Center also keeps plenty of condoms handy in a drawer beneath all the cold medicines. They're yours with an optional donation (free if you need it to be).

If you are regularly having sex, it may be more convenient to buy your own condoms at CVS. This way you can also select your preferred fit and brand.

Um, what about female condoms? And dental dams?

Female condoms are somewhat expensive, so neither the SHCs nor Worth are currently providing them to students. But we have recently put in an order for dental dams, and will be advertising to students when they arrive. For now you can read about alternatives here.

Does Worth have birth control pills? What about NuvaRing, the shot, IUDs ...?

Worth offers birth control pills for the discounted price of $11 a pack. While it used to carry NuvaRing, they can no longer offer it to students. Students can consult with Worth about the shot or the IUD, but will be referred elsewhere to obtain them.
