E-mail Rattech@swarthmore.edu with the following information:
Date of Party
Venue for Party
SAC funded, Private party, or open to the whole campus
Times the party starts and ends
Time you would like the system set up
Group or person throwing the party
Any other relevant information
The director will get back to you within a day usually with any other information they need and whether they can make the reservation.
The Basics
Rattech is comprised of the three sound systems available to parties on campus: one installed system in Paces and two mobile systems. The mobile systems can also be combined somewhat for outdoor situations or other parties that require high sound pressure or need to fill a large space.
Because our amplifiers (two per system) are rated at 3200 watts, it is recomended that parties be planned only in spaces that can cope with a large current draw, such as spaces with 20 Amp rated outlets, though there are ways to avoid these restrictions. At its peak however, Rattech can use two 3000 watt subwoofers and six 1000 watt satelite PA speakers, so if all the equipment is needed, checking with facilities to make sure the circuts can handle our system is required.
Reservations must be made 5 days in advance of the event, or they may not be honored, and will be subject to a $50 fine.
