Welcome to the Movie Committee website! Granted it is a work-in-progress, as are all highly demanded projects, but admit that it surely beats what we had before...

Movie Showing Application
Mar 06

Hello Swarthmore!

If you want to show a movie to the entire campus for your group, then to comply with copyright laws you must acquire a license for the rights to show it.

Never fear, your friendly Movie Committee is here! Just answer the questions below and send them in a word docdument to mfireto1@swarthmore.edu. Your friendly Movie Committee will vote on your proposal. If your proposal is approved, we will buy the license. YOUR responsibilities are to reserve the space, actually show the movie (which will almost certainly be on VHS or DVD), and advertise for it around campus.

Please note: it can take anywhere from one to three weeks to get a license, especially if the film is rare. Please send your application well ahead of your expected screening date to be sure that we can find and purchase your license in time

That’s it! Fill out the questions below in a word document, send it to mfireto1, and good luck!

You can also just download a blank application!
