Social Affairs Committee
The Social Affairs Committee is a group of students selected each year by the Student Council to serve a one-year term. The group is headed by two co-directors, also selected by the Student Council.
SAC works to provide a balanced social calendar each weekend at Swarthmore. The committee's functions include funding campus-wide parties, study breaks, and a variety of other campus events. Additionally, SAC collaborates with groups and organizations to co-sponsor College events such as the Fall Formal, Screw Your Roommate, Spring Formal, and two dry, campus-wide events each month. The committee meets weekly in Kohlberg 330 at 10:00 p.m. to hear proposals and plan events for the weekend following the upcoming one.
