Movie Committee
The Movie Committee is a group of Student Council appointed students who organize movies for Swarthmore students to enjoy. Additionally, the Movie Committee aids student groups in obtaining necessary licenses for films they are interested in showing to the Swarthmore community.
The process of showing a public movie first involves sending the Movie Committee a movie application. If the application is approved, the Movie Committee will purchase the license to show the movie. From there, it is the student's responsibility to reserve the viewing space, advertise the film, and manage the showing of the film.
Note that obtaining a license may take anywhere from one to three weeks, especially in instances of rare films. Please be sure to send your application well in advance of the anticipated screening date to ensure the license is obtained.
The Movie Committee meets each Wednesday at 7:30pm in the Beardsley Meda Lab.
Send any completed application forms or questions you have regarding the Movie Committee to Natalia Cote-Muñoz '12.
