Elron
Elron became a Phi Psi Brother in 1948. Little is known about our longest standing brother during his early years. We do however know the story of his naming. L. Ron Hubbard was the founder of the Church of Scientology. An evangelistic brother in the class of ’74 or ’75 was a strong believer in scientology. He was known for his inability of uttering a sentence without invoking Mr. Hubbard’s name. After enough of this, one of the brothers said, "L. Ron this! L. Ron that! You might as well name the moose L. Ron!!" And that was that.
Elron has been through many adventures in his day, his most recent being perhaps his most memorable. In the spring of ’06 Elron was stolen from the fraternity house. A long ordeal saw him shipped to VT and in turn purchased by an antique dealer. Fortunately the situation was resolved and Elron once again graces us with his omniscient presence above the beirut tables.
